Thank you for considering a Joyful Meadows kid, dam, or sire. We would like to communicate to you up front on things that come up with preordering or buying animals. If you have questions, please ask.
General Terms: We try to keep most of our prices very reasonable considering the quality and the work that goes into them.
We sell all our kids with an ADGA registration application if requeseted by the buyer. However, we do reserve the right to deny an application for registration, if the kid, or dam, does not evaulate well.
Health: We guarantee the health of the kid, dam, or sire on the day of the sale, but not after it leaves our farm. If you have health questions, please ask, preferably before you come to pick up your goat. We will gladly help you educate yourself.
Again, we sell only kids that are good quality with registration papers. If the health or conformation of a kid is not good, we will sell it without the application for registry.
Payment: We require a $50 deposit to reserve a kid. If the kid is not born or not available for any reason, you can choose if you want the deposit transferred to another kid or refunded. Deposits are not refundable on buyer cancelled orders. The remaining balance is due when the animal is picked up.
Pickup: We highly encourage you to pick up your animal here at Joyful Meadows. This provides you with the opportunity to meet parents, siblings, or progeny. Please call ahead and set up a time, so we can know you are coming and make sure we are available. We prefer that a kid is picked up within a week of being born. If you are not able to, please let us know, & we will see what arrangments we can do. If a kid is not picked up within 2 weeks, boarding fees will apply; unless prior arrangements have been agreed upon.
Buck Services/Boarding: We do offer buck service. If you would like to use a buck for breeding, the doe needs to have a recent CAE test done. Prices for breeding are: $45 for 1 breeding, $75 for two, or $120 for 3. You need to provide your own hay, grain, and $3.00 for each day that the doe is here. Boarding for does brought back for service or for kids over 2 weeks old & not yet picked up are at the rate of $3.00 a day. Any health care required on boarded animals is the responsibility of the boarder.
Returns: We strive to be 100% truthful about all our goats, (i.e. their condition and possible preformance), however, due to our inability to know the management practices of the new owner, we do not guarantee preformance, take back, or give refunds. If we are interested and/or willing, we may buy back an animal for a negotiated price. Please ask questions and know your animals before you buy them.
Communication: We enjoy keeping contact with people who own our animals. Please email or call, if you have questions, or just want us to let us know how everything is going with your new friend. Also, if you ever sell an animal you purchased from us, please pass our name and contact information along to the new owner.
