In our Nubian herd, we strive for does that have well-attached udders, produce 1 gallon minimum a day, and are easy to milk. These does are calm on the stanction & easy to lead.
In our kid crop, I watch for good conformations & easy-going personalities.
For our bucks, I look for ones that are friendly & are easy to lead and keep.
Nubians are adorable with their long ears, roman nose, and diverse color patterns!! They are hardy animals, but the kids at birth are smaller and more content to sleep then the Alpine kids. I enjoy it, as they love to be held & fall asleep in my arms!!
